Per Thomas Harding of MLB.com, Condon suffered a left wrist injury Tuesday when he dove for a catch against the Athletics in his first game this spring. The good news for Colorado and Condon is that there is no structural damage to their number two prospect. The specific injury Condon suffered, per the report, is a radial styloid process fracture. The injury will keep him sidelined for six weeks. Manny Randhawa of MLB.com further reported that Condon has no ligament damage and will not require surgery.

Rockies No. 2 prospect Charlie Condon suffered a non-displaced fracture in his left wrist from a diving attempt on defense yesterday. Fellow promising outfield prospect Zac Veen, drafted ninth overall in 2020, has seen his Rockies debut delayed due to various injuries, limiting him to 46 minor league games in 2023 and 65 last season. The eighth overall pick in 2021, outfielder Benny Montgomery, has also seen his development consistently delayed due to serious injuries. Right-hander Gabriel Hughes, the 10th overall pick out of Gonzaga University in 2022, missed almost all of 2024 due to Tommy John surgery. Hopefully, Condon avoiding a more serious injury is finally a turn of fortune for the Rockies and their top prospects’ health.
