Los Angeles moved Lux to shortstop but placed him at second base after the former first-rounder had trouble throwing to first base. The second basemen hit barely above .200 for the majority of the first half of the season, before carrying an <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/baseball\/2024\/08\/07\/dodgers-rojas-grove-il\/\" target=\"_self\">injury-laden Dodger squad<\/a> for a two-month span, hitting at a torrid .350 clip before coming back to earth in September.<\/p>\n<p>Lux&#8217;s last at-bat for the Dodgers was a fine way to end his career in Los Angeles. He hit the game-tying sacrifice fly of Game Five of the World Series to help complete the comeback against the New York Yankees.<\/p>\n<h3>A Flurry of Moves<\/h3>\n<p>This trade may have been anticipated since the Dodgers <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/baseball\/2025\/01\/03\/hyeseong-kim-dodgers\/\" target=\"_self\">signed KBO stand-out<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/register\/player.fcgi?id=kim---016hye&amp;utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-01-06_br\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hyeseong Kim<\/a> to a three-year deal.
