The 2018 All-Star will not test free agency for the upcoming regular season retaining his contract. The 33-year-old had a strong <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/baseball\/2024\/09\/26\/diamondbacks-eugenio-suarez-torrid-second-half\/\" target=\"_self\">second half<\/a> and could be in line for a contract extension with the Diamondbacks. The offseason has just commenced and already several players have made decisions regarding their contracts. After July 1st of this season, Su\u00e1rez recorded a .312 batting average, 43 hits, 12 home runs, 37 RBI, and 29 runs across 38 games. This was a big improvement from the beginning of the season. Su\u00e1rez also showcased his solid strength as a third baseman for the Diamondbacks. Arizona eventually finished third in the NL West and will be looking to revamp next season. In 2023, the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/baseball\/2023\/10\/27\/diamondbacks-roster-2023-world-series\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Diamondbacks<\/a> made it to the World Series, but lost in five games to the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/baseball\/2023\/11\/02\/texas-rangers-win-first-world-series\/\" target=\"_self\">Texas Rangers<\/a>. In 2024, neither team made it to the postseason<\/p>\n<p>Suarez finished the 2024 season with a.256 batting average, 101 RBI, 30 home runs, and a 3.1 WAR. In July, via Stats Inc., Su\u00e1rez was the first Diamondback to record nine or more home runs and 25 or more RBI in a month since <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/e\/escobed01.shtml?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2024-11-01_br\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Eduardo Escobar<\/a> went yard 10 times and recorded 28 RBI in August of 2019. Between July and mid-September, Su\u00e1rez also had four games with four or more hits and four games with five or more RBI.\u00a0 No other player has earned this milestone since Babe Ruth did in 1927.
