MILWAUKEE \u2013 Jackson Chourio<\/a> is the Milwaukee Brewers\u2019 future, but Wednesday night, he almost single-handedly delayed the future for at least one more day.<\/span><\/p>\n

The rookie outfielder kept the Brewers\u2019 season alive with a pair of home runs \u2013 including a game-tying solo shot in the eighth inning \u2013 in a 5-3 victory over the New York Mets in Game 2 of their National League Wild Card Series at American Family Field.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s unbelievable,\u201d said shortstop Willy Adames<\/a>, who singled and scored what turned out to be the go-ahead run later in the inning when Garrett Mitchell<\/a> belted a two-run homer that prevented the Brewers from being swept out of the wild card round for a second straight season.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI told him I\u2019m proud of you,\u201d Adames said. \u201cThe way he\u2019s showing up this postseason. (He\u2019s) 20 years old. (He\u2019s) a kid and going out there and performing when we need (him) the most. Like, that\u2019s something I think he was just born with.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
