Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts<\/a> will push back<\/a> Tyler Glasnow<\/a>‘s next start to Saturday against the St. Louis Cardinals. Glasnow was originally in line to start Friday’s series opener, but the Dodgers will give him an extra day of rest after he started seven innings in his last start. According to Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic<\/em><\/a>, that lines up with Ryan Brasier<\/a> to return from the 60-day injured list on Saturday. Braiser, 27, last pitched for the Dodgers on April 27 before injuring his right calf strain.<\/p>\n

Ryan Brasier Expected to Return Saturday<\/h2>\n

Braiser has made seven appearances in his minor league rehab assignment with Triple-A Oklahoma. He’s given up four hits with a 12:1 K:BB in eight scoreless innings. Brasier pitched on back-to-back days for the first time during his rehab stint last week. He will likely pitch in low-leverage situations upon returning to the majors to shake off any rust. However, he could rise through the bullpen ranks if he performs well.<\/p>\n

The Dodgers agreed to terms with the veteran right-hander this past offseason. Brasier signed a two-year, $9 million deal a season after playing a role in the Dodgers bullpen’s second-half turnaround. After getting cut by the Boston Red Sox, the Dodgers gave Brasier a minor-league deal. Brasier made 39 appearances with Los Angeles and allowed three earned runs over 38 2\/3 innings. Brasier’s 0.70 ERA with the Dodgers was the best 39-game stretch of his career.<\/p>\n

More positive news is that reliever Brusdar Graterol<\/a> is already playing catch. There is hope that he will be able to return before the end of the regular season following a grade-one hamstring strain<\/a>. Max Muncy<\/a> should be back from the 60-day IL at some point during the Dodgers’ next homestand, which begins August 19. Muncy is in the final stage of his recovery program.<\/p>\n
