The San Francisco Giants have made several roster moves on Friday. One of the moves is Jerar Encarnaci\u00f3n<\/a> who will be called up, reports Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic<\/em><\/a>. Encarnaci\u00f3n, 26, is an outfielder and right-handed hitter who began his season with Oaxaca in the Mexican League, hitting .366\/.439\/.989 with 19 home runs. When he joined the Giants on a minor league deal, Encarnaci\u00f3n dismantled pitchers with his power. Encarnaci\u00f3n was hitting .352 with 10 home runs in 125 at-bats for Triple-A Sacramento.<\/p>\n

The Giants will also add Mark Canha<\/a>, whom they acquired from the Detroit Tigers on Tuesday’s trade deadline, and Sean Hjelle<\/a>, who was on the bereavement list. Infielder David Villar<\/a>, catcher Blake Sabol<\/a> and outfielder Derek Hill<\/a> will not be on the roster. Hill was designated for assignment following the roster moves.<\/p>\n
