Injuries have been the name of the game this season in Queens<\/strong>, as if that needs any more mention.\u00a0The latest episode of the disabled list stint series is scarier than usual. The New York Mets<\/strong> sent Brandon Nimmo<\/strong><\/a> to the DL with a partially collapsed lung.<\/p>\n

Brandon Nimmo Heads to DL with Collapsed Lung<\/h1>\n

Having just recently broken into the major league level, outfielder Brandon Nimmo was hitting .350 through 15 games. He was called up on June 16 as a corresponding move to Juan Lagares<\/a><\/strong> and Matt Harvey<\/a><\/strong> being sent to the disabled list.<\/p>\n

Nimmo, just 24, was taken to a hospital on Friday to be treated. He was released Friday night and was told this is not life threatening, according to the New York Daily News<\/a>. In response to the sudden mishap, the New York Mets will activate Michael Conforto<\/a><\/strong> from his own stay on the Disabled List with a left-hand contusion.<\/p>\n

Terry says it’s not as serious as it sounds, and Nimmo should be fine. They’re not sure how it happened.<\/p>\n
