Spring training starts days after Super Bowl XLVIII. Pitchers, catchers, and position players will begin reporting to camps in Arizona and Florida for workout and training sessions. By the end of the month, exhibition games will begin<\/a> as Opening Day is set for March 28. MLB<\/a> announced each team’s spring training reporting dates at the beginning of January. Each team has its own dates for spring training, but all camps open within a span of a few days from each other. Pitchers and catchers arrive first, following the position players who don’t have to show up a few days later.<\/p>\n

Here are this year’s spring training reporting dates and workout schedules. Cactus League teams work out in Arizona, and Grapefruit League teams train in Florida.<\/p>\n

2024 MLB Spring Training Info Guide<\/h2>\n

The First Two Teams to Arrive<\/h3>\n

The Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres will report to spring training earlier than everyone else. They will open the season with the Seoul Series in South Korea. The two-game series will be played from March 20-21 as the Dodgers and Padres will play two games there, then return to Arizona to wrap up their respective camps.<\/p>\n

When do Spring Training Games Start and End?<\/h3>\n

Exhibition games begin on Thursday, February 22, with the Dodgers taking on the Padres in the Cactus League opener. All 30 clubs will begin play in Cactus and Grapefruit League games on Saturday, February 24. Spring training will wrap up on March 26, two days before the season begins.
