The\u00a0<\/span>Houston Astros<\/span><\/a>\u00a0continued their demolition of the\u00a0<\/span>Texas Rangers<\/span><\/a>, this time led by\u00a0<\/span>Jose Abreu’s<\/span><\/a>\u00a0grand slam and 7-RBI.\u00a0<\/span>Jasson Dominguez<\/span><\/a>, or “The Martian” left Earth with his third home run since joining the\u00a0<\/span>New York Yankees<\/span><\/a>\u00a0in their win over the\u00a0<\/span>Detroit Tigers<\/span><\/a>. Not to be outdone,\u00a0<\/span>Bryce Harper<\/span><\/a>\u00a0got rid of his beard and hitting slump by knocking in a pair of RBIs in the\u00a0<\/span>Philadelphia Phillies<\/span><\/a>\u00a05-1 win over the\u00a0<\/span>San Diego Padres<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

A 2-1 day on Wednesday was another good day for us. Our lone loss came from the\u00a0<\/span>Toronto Blue Jays<\/span><\/a>, as they lost 5-2 at the\u00a0<\/span>Oakland Athletics<\/span><\/a>. Elsewhere,\u00a0<\/span>Bryce Harper<\/span><\/a>\u00a0hit his H+R+RBI prop with his two-run single for the Phillies, and\u00a0<\/span>Logan Gilbert<\/span><\/a>\u00a0rang up nine\u00a0<\/span>Cincinnati Reds<\/span><\/a>\u00a0batters in the\u00a0<\/span>Seattle Mariners<\/span><\/a>\u00a0win.<\/span><\/p>\n

A great weekend series kicks off tonight when the Seattle Mariners face off against the\u00a0<\/span>Tampa Bay Rays<\/span><\/a>. The Rays are 7-3 in their last ten games and are eight games up in the Wild Card. The Mariners have stalled at 5-5 in their previous, but are still in the Wild Card today. Seattle will send out\u00a0<\/span>Luis Castillo<\/span><\/a>, who has been dominant as of late, and the Rays turn to Zach Littell, who has yet to be.<\/span><\/p>\n

Littell has given up 17 earned runs in his last five starts and has not logged a quality start since August 4th. The Mariners’ offense ranks in the top 10 in hard-hot %, HR\/FB rate, and wRC+ with 109. Over the last 30 days, the team has slashed \/.281\/.368\/.504 with an OPS+ of 130.\u00a0<\/span>J.P. Crawford<\/span><\/a>\u00a0(.321 over the previous seven games),\u00a0<\/span>Teoscar Hernandez<\/span><\/a>\u00a0(.357), and\u00a0<\/span>Julio Rodriguez<\/span><\/a>\u00a0(.303, four HRs) will all look to continue their hot streaks.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our second pick takes us to the series finale between the Detroit Tigers and New York Yankees.\u00a0<\/span>Eduardo Rodriguez<\/span><\/a>\u00a0will take on\u00a0<\/span>Carlos Rodon<\/span><\/a>, and Rodriguez will have difficulty navigating through the Yankees’ lineup. The Yankees have been playing great ball as of late; they are 8-2 in their last ten and are currently on a five-game win streak that coincides with\u00a0<\/span>DJ LeMahieu’s<\/span><\/a>\u00a0hot streak.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In 41 games since the All-Star break, LeMahieu has slashed .288\/.392\/.493 with eight home runs compared to his seven home runs in 75 games before the break. He’ll get to face Rodriguez; he has hit .346 off his career. Rodriguez has given up 26 earned runs in 63.1 innings at Yankee Stadium and has been bit by the long ball, too.<\/span><\/p>\n

Look for LeMahieu to continue his hot streak tonight. His hit (0.5, -270) and walk (0.5, +130) prop are solid plays, too.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS VS. CHICAGO CUBS: CUBS ML + TT o4.5 (+115)<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n

They are trying a different pick tonight when the\u00a0<\/span>Arizona Diamondbacks<\/span><\/a>\u00a0face off with the\u00a0<\/span>Chicago Cubs<\/span><\/a>\u00a0in the windy city. The Cubs have been one of the best teams in baseball, on a four-game win streak, and are 7-3 in their last 10. The Diamondbacks have stumbled recently; they are 4-6 in their previous ten and now sit a half-game out of the Wild Card.<\/span><\/p>\n

During the Cubs’ four-game win streak, they have scored 8, 11, 5, and 15 runs and have gotten great pitching from\u00a0<\/span>Justin Steele<\/span><\/a>\u00a0and their starter tonight,\u00a0<\/span>Javier Assad<\/span><\/a>. Assad has been dominant in 2023; he has a 2.69 ERA, a 3-2 record, and 67 strikeouts. Assad will look to continue his hot streak after an eighth-inning shutout of the Cincinnati Reds. For the Diamondbacks,\u00a0<\/span>Ryne Nelson<\/span><\/a>\u00a0has given up 29 earned runs in his last 34.1 innings and 12 runs in his previous six innings.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cubs hitters\u00a0<\/span>Cody Bellinger<\/span><\/a>\u00a0(.347, four HRs in last seven games),\u00a0<\/span>Seiya Suzuki<\/span><\/a>\u00a0(.448), and\u00a0<\/span>Ian Happ<\/span><\/a>\u00a0(.308) will look to continue their hot streaks tonight.<\/span><\/p>\n
