Well, we just can’t seem to get the Best Bets series back on the right track. Gerrit Cole throws a near-flawless game, and the Yankees still find a way to lose late in bonus baseball. Meanwhile, in Kansas City, the 60-win Rays<\/a> were bested by the 27-win Royals<\/a>. Brady Singer pitched well, but at the end of the day, the Rays beat themselves. They couldn’t get anything going on offense and Zach Eflin had a horrible start. Getting pulled after three innings pitched, coughing up seven hits, and five earned runs. An all-around disappointing day.<\/p>\n

Our second play of the day sees two teams that are on completely opposite trajectories face off. The New York Yankees<\/a> are fading into mediocrity, while the hosts, the Los Angeles Angles<\/a> are on the ascendency. We could see this picture completely change in a matter of weeks if the Shohei Ohtani trade rumors are true. We will be fading the Yankees today as they are entrusting Luis Severino to lead them to victory. I don’t think Severino could even lead a conga line successfully.<\/p>\n
