ARLINGTON, Texas, Aug 6 \u2014 Fans tuned in to the Adolis Garcia show at Globe Life Field on Saturday, as the Texas Rangers<\/a> beat the Chicago White Sox<\/a> by a final score of 8\u20130. Garcia drove in five of the Rangers’ eight runs, and it looks like his bat is beginning to heat up once again. Rangers fans are hoping that this sudden outburst of offense continues for Garcia. It would also be good if it rubbed off on his teammates as well. The fourth, and final game in this series is set for Sunday afternoon. White Sox right-hander Lucas Giolito (7\u20136, 5.06 ERA) will start the finale. The Rangers, meanwhile, will send their own righty Spencer Howard (2\u20133, 6.82 ERA) to the hill. First pitch is scheduled for 1:35 PM Central.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Rangers provided offense in several different ways on Saturday night on their way to a shutout of the White Sox. The game would remain scoreless until the bottom of the third inning. Rangers third baseman Ezequiel Duran hit a solo home run to right-center field to put the Rangers on top 1\u20130. It was Duran’s third home run of the season. Incidentally, it was also Duran’s first home run since June 12 against this White Sox team at Guaranteed Rate Field in Chicago. He hit that home run in the 11th inning of that game.<\/p>\n Later on in the inning, They extended their lead to 3\u20130 on an RBI single by right-fielder Adolis Garcia. Marcus Semien and Corey Seager both scored on the base hit. Their fourth run came in the bottom of the fourth inning. A wild pitch thrown by White Sox reliever Jose Ruiz allowed Meibrys Viloria to score from third base.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Adolis Garcia show continued in the bottom of the seventh inning. With the Rangers leading 4\u20130, Garcia stepped up to the plate once again with the bases loaded. He promptly blasted a three-run double to centerfield. Marcus Semien, Corey Seager, and Nathaniel Lowe all scored on the play. Moments later, the Rangers would add another run to make it 8\u20130. Ezequiel Duran\u00a0 grounded into a force out that allowed Garcia to score from third base. Garc\u00eda recorded five RBI on Saturday, to tie his career high (for the fifth time) and season high for the second time (the first time was on May 15 against the Boston Red Sox<\/a>. Saturday was his fifth game with five RBI since the start of 2021. No other Ranger has more than one such game over that span. All five of his five-RBI games have come at Globe Life Field.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Right-hander Dane Dunning started this game for the Rangers. Dunning earned his first win since April 30 against the Atlanta Braves<\/a> (7 2\/3 IP, 1 R-ER), snapping a 15-start winless span that was the longest single-season winless span in franchise history. He pitched seven innings. Over the course of those seven frames, he allowed only one hit, and one walk. He also struck out six batters.<\/p>\n Dunning’s record for 2022 now sits at 2\u20136, with an ERA of 4.04. Right-hander Michael Kopech took the losing decision in this contest for the White Sox. He pitched 3 1\/3 innings, in which he gave up four runs, all earned, on five hits. He also walked two, and struck out four. Kopech’s record for 2022 now sits at 4\u20138, with an ERA of 3.38.
