ARLINGTON, Texas, August 1 \u2014 On Sunday afternoon, the Texas Rangers<\/a> did something that they haven’t done since June 27th. They won their second game in a row. It was a downpour outside. Under the roof at Globe Life Field, however, the temperature was just right as the Rangers beat the Seattle Mariners<\/a>. The final score was 4\u20133. It was a tremendously satisfying win for the Rangers and their fans. Here is a recap of Sunday’s game.<\/p>\n The Mariners remained in control until the ninth inning. They jumped ahead 1-0 in the top of the second inning. Jake Bauers hit a sharp line drive to right field that allowed Ty France to score. Abraham Toro also came in to score from third on a walk to Dylan Moore. They didn’t score their third and final run until the top of the seventh inning. This happened on a bunt single by Kyle Seager. That hit brought in J.P. Crawford. At this point, Rangers fans collectively sighed.<\/p>\n Like the Mariners, Texas also scored their first run in the second inning. Andy Ibanez scored on a force out that David Dahl grounded into. That was not be the only scoring that Ibanez did, however. Fast forward to the bottom of the ninth. With Nate Lowe on base, Ibanez hit a two-run home run to tie the score 3\u20133. The next batter was the hero from Saturday’s win. Catcher Jonah Heim stepped up to the plate and became the first rookie to ever hit walk-off home runs on two consecutive days. He definitely sent the fans home happy.<\/p>\n Righty Mike Foltynewicz got the start for the Rangers. He pitched five innings, giving up two earned runs on three hits. In addition, he walked three and struck out one. Jharel Cotton and Demarcus Evans took over after Foltynewicz with Cotton giving up Seattle’s third run. Dennis Santana pitched a scoreless ninth and got the win (1-1). Right-hander Erik Swanson took the loss for the Mariners (0-1).<\/p>\n Main Photo:Seattle’s Offense<\/h3>\n
