But without a doubt, Ramirez had his biggest career success last season where the utility infielder played in 152 games and finished the year with a .312 batting average. Ramirez also had an .825 OPS in 2016 with 11 home runs and a 3.9 WAR.<\/p>\n<p>Ramirez&#8217;s successful year no doubt had an impact on the Indians&#8217; fantastic postseason run and their World Series appearance.\u00a0 While the Indians lost in Game Seven of the World Series to the Chicago Cubs, Ramirez found personal success.\u00a0 In 30 plate appearances in the World Series, Ramirez slashed .310\/.333\/.448 with one home run and two RBI.<\/p>\n<p>If the Indians have any hopes of returning to the postseason in 2017, Ramirez (who is expected to be the everyday third baseman) will be an integral part of it.<\/p>\n<p><em>Uodate 3\/28\/2917<\/em>:<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, the Indians and Ramirez officially agreed on a five-year, $26 million extension.
