Minutes before first pitch, the Mets announced that J.D. Davis, who was dealing with a stomach bug earlier in the day, would get the start and be the DH after McNeil was scratched.

Dominic Smith, who was supposed to start as the DH was moved to left field. McNeil had been red-hot at the plate with a .343 batting average.

Amed Rosario

Rosario led off the third inning on Monday against the Braves with a single. Rosario then came around to score and batted again later in the inning. After grounding out to third, he limped his way to first base, and Luis Guillorme came in to replace him.

Rosario is batting .244 with one home run and four RBI’s in 11 games this year.

Robinson Cano

Lastly, Cano came out of the game in the fifth inning after two hits and three RBI’s. Cano was on the injured list three times last season with the same injury he suffered Monday night.
