These players while solid are not superstars and all were signed to low salaries. For MLB teams this is like shopping at the bargain bin. This has been a common occurrence in the last few offseasons.<\/p>\n<h2>Brad Miller<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/m\/millebr02.shtml?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Brad Miller<\/strong><\/a> signed a one year contract for two million dollars with the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonbaseball.com\/mlb-teams\/st-louis-cardinals\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">St. Louis Cardinals<\/a>. The seven-year veteran split the 2019 season with the Cleveland Indians and Philadelphia Phillies. Miller&#8217;s slash line was .260\/.329\/.565 with 13 HR and 25 RBI.<\/p>\n<p>In 2016 Miller hit 30 HR and drove in 81 RBI. That was the highwater mark for Miller. Maybin can earn up to 2.8 million dollars with bonuses. The one-time mega prospect had one of the best years of his 13-year career in 2019. Maybin hit a career high in HR with 11 and drove in 32 runs for the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonbaseball.com\/mlb-teams\/new-york-yankees\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">New York Yankees<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Maybin&#8217;s slash line last season was .285\/.364\/.494. The Yankees brought in Maybin after the injury bug bit them hard. Maybin&#8217;s play was a huge reason the Yankees were able to overcome the injury bug. Dyson is still recognized as one of the best defensive centerfielders in MLB. However, his offensive numbers lead a lot to be desired.<\/p>\n<p>Dyson&#8217;s career slash line is .247\/.319\/.338 and he has 250 career stolen bases. Last season as a member of the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonbaseball.com\/mlb-teams\/arizona-diamondbacks\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Arizona Diamondbacks<\/a> Dyson&#8217;s OBP was nearly 100 points higher than his batting average. The Pirates are in a complete rebuild mode. Cahill will earn two million dollars if he makes the team. He could earn another two million dollars in performance bonuses.<\/p>\n<p>With a roster full of players over 30 years old and who are making a lot of money, it&#8217;s fair to wonder when the Giants fully tear it down and rebuild. After all the Giants have literally no chance to compete for the division in 2020. Walker can earn up to three million dollars in total with incentives. At one time big things were expected of Walker. After the 2016 season, the Mariners traded Walker in a package to the Diamondbacks for <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/s\/segurje01.shtml?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jean Segura<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/h\/hanigmi01.shtml?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mitch Haniger<\/a>.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After a solid 2017 season in Arizona Walker got injured in 2018 and only pitched 13 innings. Walker had <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/j\/johnto01.shtml?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Tommy John<\/a><\/strong> surgery and was out for the rest of the season and only pitched in one game in 2019 which was the last one of the season.
