The Yankees will give up either a player to be named later or cash considerations. In a corresponding move,<strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/l\/loaisjo01.shtml?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jonathan Loaisiga<\/a><\/strong> has been transferred to the 60-day injured list. <\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The Yankees have acquired 1B\/DH Kendrys Morales and cash considerations from Oakland in exchange for a player to be named later or cash considerations. His career high is 34, which he hit back in 2009 with the Los Angeles Angels. He has hit at least 21 home runs in seven of the last ten seasons. The only three seasons that he did not, he played 100 games or less due to injuries.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That being said, he has struggled in 34 games in 2019. He is currently hitting .204\/.310\/.259 in 126 plate appearances. He has just one home run thus far. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Morales entered the season in the final year of a three-year, $33 million <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spotrac.com\/mlb\/oakland-athletics\/kendrys-morales-5271\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">contract<\/a> he previously signed with the <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonbaseball.com\/mlb-teams\/toronto-blue-jays\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Toronto Blue Jays<\/a>. He was dealt to the A\u2019s on March 27th before being designated for assignment on May 13th, leading to the trade.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Morales homers in Blue Jays&#039; record 7 straight games\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/3T733APyC3M?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kendrys Morales Fit<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It looks like Morales will serve as a bench player for the time being. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/v\/voitlu01.shtml?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Luke Voit<\/a><\/strong> has been in a slump of late although his .234\/.363\/.468 with ten home runs and 30 RBI have definitely solidified his status as the everyday first basemen. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This move comes following <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/a\/andujmi01.shtml?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Miguel Andujar<\/a>\u2019s<\/strong> return to the injured list with a possible shoulder surgery looming. The team has been playing well without Andujar this season, which includes a rotating designated hitter. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/h\/hicksaa01.shtml?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Aaron Hicks<\/a> <\/strong>was just reinstated from the injured list with a back injury.
