As &#8220;Pops&#8221; cover all aspects of pop culture from musicians to video games, it is no surprise that baseball fans are also being treated to miniature versions of their favorite players. The MLB line was first introduced in 2018 and returns with a new collection of players for the 2019 season. MLB Funko fans will certainly have to open their wallets this year to add all of these figurines to their collection.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>2019 MLB Funko Pop Figures Arrive<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2018 saw the release of 19 different players, with an additional five used as stadium promotional giveaways. All of the promotional Funkos, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/h\/hernafe02.shtml?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Felix Hernandez<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/v\/vottojo01.shtml?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Joey Votto<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/k\/kiermke01.shtml?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kevin Kiermaier<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/g\/griffke02.shtml?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ken Griffey Jr.<\/a>\u00a0debuted as limited releases. With the exception of Griffey, all 2018 funkos were current players. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now in 2019, the MLB Funko&#8217;s checklist features 22 player models, including two of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/b\/bettsmo01.shtml?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mookie Betts<\/a>. The <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonbaseball.com\/mlb-teams\/boston-red-sox\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Boston Red Sox<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are most represented with three players in the lineup, Betts, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/m\/martijd02.shtml?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">J.D. Martinez<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/s\/salech01.shtml?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Chris Sale<\/a>. Both the\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonbaseball.com\/mlb-teams\/houston-astros\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Houston Astros<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonbaseball.com\/mlb-teams\/los-angeles-angels\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Los Angeles Angels<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are the only other teams to have multiple players represented by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/a\/altuvjo01.shtml?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jose Altuve<\/a> with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/v\/verlaju01.shtml?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Justin Verlander<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/t\/troutmi01.shtml?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mike Trout<\/a> with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/o\/ohtansh01.shtml?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Shohei Ohtani<\/a>, respectively. Also hitting the market this summer are 19 mascot pops featuring 13 different mascots. A pinstripe-clad <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/r\/ruthba01.shtml?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Babe Ruth<\/a>\u00a0&#8220;Calling-his-shot&#8221; figure will also be released as a part of their all-sports \u2018Sports Legends\u2019 line in mid-May.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This season, there are currently five announced limited-edition Funko Pop stadium giveaways. On June 28, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonbaseball.com\/mlb-teams\/san-francisco-giants\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">San Fransico Giants<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> fans can receive a uniform-clad Bruce Lee. On July 20, both the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonbaseball.com\/mlb-teams\/seattle-mariners\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Seattle Mariners<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonbaseball.com\/mlb-teams\/cincinnati-reds\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cincinnati Reds<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> have giveaways, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/search\/search.fcgi?pid=martied01,martin010edg,martin009edg,martin005edg,martin006edg,martin008edg&amp;search=Edgar+Martinez&amp;utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Edgar Martinez<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/s\/suareeu01.shtml?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Eugenio Suarez<\/a> respectively. Atlanta Braves fans arriving early on August 30, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">can receive a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/f\/freemfr01.shtml?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Freddie Freeman<\/a>\u00a0figure. Two more releases in September round-out the giveaway calendar. On September 2, the St. Louis Cardinals are giving away a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/m\/molinya01.shtml?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Yadier Molina<\/a> figure. Finally, the Seattle Mariners are giving away an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/s\/suzukic01.shtml?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ichiro Suzuki<\/a> figure.
