It appeared the Los Angeles Dodgers injury epidemic<\/a> was dwindling. That is, until Tuesday night. Kik\u00e9 Hern\u00e1ndez<\/a> left the game after the fourth inning last night after hurting his oblique. Manager Dave Roberts<\/a> was seen in the dugout consoling Hern\u00e1ndez after he left the game. Roberts gave an update on the Dodgers’ super utility man, and it isn’t good. Hern\u00e1ndez has a “significant tear,” Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports, and there is no timetable for his return. Alex Freeland<\/a> will replace Hern\u00e1ndez on the roster.<\/p>\n

Hern\u00e1ndez felt the oblique tighten up last night in the batting cage but thought he could “play through it.” \u00a0Unfortunately, it was on the home run swing that he felt it grab, and pain when he ran the bases. In his brief return<\/a> between the lines, Hernandez was on fire. He had a home run and two runs batted in, with a batting average of 1.000.<\/p>\n
