In a corresponding roster move, Baltimore recalled right-hander <a  target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/f\/fosteca01.shtml?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-04-29_br\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cameron Foster<\/a> from Triple-A Norfolk. The Orioles announced both moves on Wednesday evening, when they proved to be idle. Their game against the Houston Astros was postponed due to rain, and will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"alignleft\" style=\"max-width: 1200px\"><smartframe-embed class=\"smartframe_wp_element\" customer-id=\"b0c95bc04383cef69c6b47df872135cf\" image-id=\"WmOB40fSrwkv\" style=\"width: 100%; display: inline-flex; max-width: 6866px; aspect-ratio: 6866\/4578;\" ><\/smartframe-embed><\/p>\n<h2>Orioles Place Trevor Rogers (Illness) on Injured List<\/h2>\n<p>Rogers was the scheduled starter for Friday night&#8217;s game against the New York Yankees, but will now be out until mid-May. It is a big blow to an <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/baseball\/2026\/04\/20\/where-orioles-pitching-staff-goes-from-here\/\" target=\"_self\">Orioles pitching staff<\/a> already beleaguered by injuries and struggles. Fellow top starter <a  target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/e\/eflinza01.shtml?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-04-29_br\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Zach Eflin<\/a> is out for the season after Tommy John surgery, and other members of the rotation, including <a  target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/b\/bradiky01.shtml?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-04-29_br\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kyle Bradish<\/a> and <a  target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/b\/bazsh01.shtml?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2026-04-29_br\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Shane Baz<\/a>, are off to slow starts this season. An <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/baseball\/2025\/02\/13\/orioles-players-sidelined-opening-day\/\" target=\"_self\">offseason injury<\/a> in January 2025 limited him to 18 starts last season, but once he returned, he was a bright spot in an overall rough year for the O&#8217;s. Rogers went 9-3 with a 1.81 ERA, a 0.903 WHIP, and 103 strikeouts in 109 2\/3 innings. This sterling performance garnered him a ninth-place finish in American League Cy Young Award voting.<\/p>\n<h2>Cameron Foster Recalled<\/h2>\n<p>The 27-year-old rookie reliever Foster has already seen time at the big league level this season. In 5 2\/3 innings of work across four appearances, he has a 6.35 ERA and seven strikeouts.
