The YES Network produced $143 million in cable money for the Yankees in 2022. To put it in perspective, that\u2019s $19.5 million short of outfielder Cody Bellinger\u2019s contract. Bellinger signed a five year (<span class=\"s3\"><a  href=\"https:\/\/www.spotrac.com\/mlb\/player\/_\/id\/21735\/cody-bellinger\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">$162.5 million) <\/a><\/span><\/span>contract this offseason.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The potential revenue the Braves can generate from having their own network is exponential. The Braves aren\u2019t major players in free agency, preferring to sign young players early and make smart trades. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The Braves potentially having an extra $100 million+ from BravesVision to reinvest in the team could make the Braves a bigger player in the National League.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"s1\">Atlanta Braves President and CEO Derek Schillier says BravesVision is the \u201cvital link\u201d to fans and the organization<\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">When BravesVision was announced in February, President and CEO Derek Schillier said that this was the \u201cvital link\u201d to the fanbase.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"p2\"><span class=\"s2\">&#8220;This endeavor will bring the most vital link to our fanbase \u2013 our television broadcast \u2013 back under the control of our organization,&#8221; said Braves President and CEO Derek Schiller to <a  href=\"https:\/\/www.mlb.com\/amp\/press-release\/atlanta-braves-announce-launch-of-exclusive-braves-television-network-bravesvision.html\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span class=\"s3\">MLB.com<\/span><\/a>. &#8220;Generations of Braves fans were raised watching games on a network that shared ownership with the baseball team.
