Springtime sadness has hit the Cincinnati Reds, as starter Hunter Greene<\/a> underwent arthroscopic surgery to remove bone chips and loose bodies from his elbow last Wednesday.<\/p>\n

If everything goes according to plan, the Reds ace<\/a> will be back on the mound\u00a0in July.<\/p>\n

It comes as a huge blow for Cincinnati as they will now have to navigate the first few months of the season without their ace. For a team whose calling card is pitching, losing their ace for essentially the entire first half is a nightmare scenario. However, if there was any team that could work around this, it\u2019s the Reds, who have a solid rotation from top to bottom, as well as youngsters ready to step up.<\/p>\n
