The 31-year old, who was designated for assignment last week, can play multiple positions. He can fill in at second base, third base, and shortstop. This acquisition demonstrates once again that the Dodgers value versatility. However, the free-agent shortstop is asking for a contract worth $300 million and <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/baseball\/2026\/01\/08\/phillies-reportedly-meeting-with-free-agent-bo-bichette\/\" target=\"_self\">has a meeting<\/a> with the Philadelphia Phillies in the near future.
