In assessing the Los Angeles Dodgers’ offseason needs, a high-leverage right-handed reliever<\/a> is near the top of the list. It was a weakness<\/a> on last year’s roster. They improvised in the postseason last year by putting Clayton Kershaw<\/a>, Emmet Sheehan<\/a>, Tyler Glasnow<\/a>, and Roki Sasaki<\/a> in the bullpen. Sasaki served as the impromptu closer with a lot of success. However, Kershaw has retired<\/a>, and the other three are expected to be reinserted into the starting rotation in 2026. Los Angeles is expected to be active in next week’s Winter Meetings, but their main priority is filling a role in the outfield.<\/p>\n

Devin Williams<\/a> was highly coveted by the Dodgers as far back as last offseason,\u00a0 but he was traded to the New York Yankees. They were interested in signing him as a free agent. He is now<\/a> with the New York Mets. Edwin D\u00edaz<\/a> is supposed to be on top of the closer market, but after signing Tanner Scott<\/a> last winter, Los Angeles appears unwilling to swallow the asking price. \u00a0If the Dodgers fail to sign or trade for anyone, these are their in-house options.<\/p>\n
