The bright side of the situation is that he will likely be healthy for the postseason. Bichette has demonstrated his return to form this season, following his subpar 2024 season impacted by injuries.<\/p>\n<p>Luckily, the Blue Jays have several players who have been solid contributors this season. Bichette&#8217;s revamped numbers include a .318 batting average, 18 home runs, and 94 RBI. His offensive output is hard to ignore. But the Blue Jays have had several contributors at the plate recently, like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/b\/bargead01.shtml?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-09-09_br\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Addison Barger<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/c\/clemeer01.shtml?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-09-09_br\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ernie Clement<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/lastwordonsports.com\/baseball\/2025\/08\/31\/blue-jays-myles-straw-defense-most-underrated-offseason-acqusition\/\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_self\">Myles Straw<\/a>, to name a few.<\/p>\n<p>But Loperfido is another name who will now get his chance to continue his steady performance, both in the minors and in the big leagues earlier in the season. Before Loperfido was optioned, he was hitting .358 with three home runs across 30 big-league appearances. Despite his solid hitting, he was optioned to make room for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseball-reference.com\/players\/s\/springe01.shtml?utm_medium=linker&amp;utm_source=lastwordonsports.com&amp;utm_campaign=2025-09-09_br\" target=\"_blank\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">George Springer<\/a>. The Blue Jays had no apparent decision for who to demote.<\/p>\n<h3>Loperfido&#8217;s Success this Season<\/h3>\n<div class=\"WaaZC\">\n<div class=\"RJPOee EIJn2\">\n<div class=\"zMgcWd dSKvsb\" data-il=\"\">\n<div data-crb-p=\"\">\n<div class=\"xFTqob\">\n<div class=\"Gur8Ad\"><strong>Simplified Approach<\/strong><\/div>\n<div class=\"vM0jzc\">\n<p>Loperfido is keeping his hitting approach simple by zoning in on good pitches to hit. A change from his prior issue of overthinking his at-bats. A major focus for Loperfido this season has been controlling the strike zone more effectively.
