In addition, he has a 9.4 % walk rate and a 23.7% strikeout rate in that span.

His revamped performance has been enough for him to gain attention. McAdoo is ranked No. 16 among Blue Jays prospects, and the third baseman/first baseman who also has right field experience would provide infield depth for the Blue Jays. Toronto does not have an everyday third baseman and has used Ernie Clement and Addison Barger. It’s been like night and day before and after his stint on the development list.

Before the development list, he recorded a 62 WRC+ and put up a 147 WRC+ afterward. He’s a valuable asset as a high-upside prospect with his speed and legitimate power upside alongside his physical tools.

See ya 👋👋

Team-leading 1⃣3⃣th homer of the year for Charles McAdoo!#DestinationCats | #BeyondBaseballNH pic.twitter.com/oFW0tL3QWP

— New Hampshire Fisher Cats (@FisherCats) August 12, 2025

Hitting Upside

McAdoo has become Toronto’s highest-upside hitting prospect. If he wants to move his way up the ladder in the farm system, though, he will need to hit his way there. His pure bat speed will help him handle both velocity and more advanced breaking balls.

McAdoo is considered a power over hit prospect, meaning his power tool is considered more valuable than his hit tool at the moment.

Batting and throwing right-handed, McAdoo has good hands and decent arm strength. This gives him the chance to stick on the dirt, and he exceeded what’s been expected of him at third this season. He’s probably better suited for first base or a corner outfield spot in the long run. However, it’s his offense that has really popped this season.

The Future of the Blue Jays and Their Infield

While McAdoo isn’t quite MLB-ready, he is an exciting prospect to look out for in the coming seasons. As a utility player, he could help out the Blue Jays by letting them move him where needed. This is what they have done with Addison Barger and Ernie Clement this season

Trey Yesavage has been another success story among Blue Jays prospects this season. He’s moved up the ladder at a fast rate (High-A to Triple-A in the same season). The Blue Jays’ farm system is vastly underrated, as it contains a lot of intriguing up-and-coming young talent. They have several exciting prospects, but Arjun Nimmala, Yesavage, Jake Bloss, Ricky Tiedemann, JoJo Parker, Lazaro Estrada, and Yohendrick Pinango have really stood out.

Main Photo Credit: Kim Klement Neitzel-Imagn Images

Toronto Blue Jays prospect Charles McAdoo was off to a slow start with Double-A New Hampshire, but has put up outstanding numbers since May 17.
