Sal Frelick’s Injury Could Impact Brewers’ Playoff Hopes<\/h2>\n

Frelick\u2019s Value<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Sal Frelick has been a catalyst for the Brewers all season. He has been especially pivotal for the Brewers\u2019 offensive engine in 2025, hitting .294 with a .758 OPS, 7 home runs, 39 RBI, and over 100 hits before the All-Star break. He excels at the top of the lineup, boasting strong contact ability, on-base skills, and disruptive base running. <\/span>More than just numbers, Frelick’s presence at the top of the lineup has directly coincided with Milwaukee’s surges this summer, both offensively and defensively.<\/span><\/p>\n

Frelick’s diagnosis, a Grade I hamstring strain, is relatively mild, often called a “pulled” muscle, and typically results in a player being considered day-to-day. However, Major League Baseball data shows that even mild hamstring strains frequently cost position players one to two weeks and carry a high risk of re-injury if not allowed to fully heal. Frelick was placed on the injured list on Friday, indicating they are wary of rushing him back.<\/span><\/p>\n
