The Los Angeles Dodgers are limping to the All-Star Break and in the midst of a four-game losing streak. In an attempt to break out of this slump, they are calling up right-handed reliever Alexis D\u00edaz<\/a>, according to Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic. The one-time closer for the Cincinnati Reds was acquired<\/a> by Los Angeles back in May in exchange for 2024 draft pick Mike Villani<\/a>. D\u00edaz is already on the 40-man roster, but a corresponding move has yet to be made.<\/p>\n

Since the trade, D\u00edaz had been in Arizona before being transferred to Triple-A Oklahoma City, recovering and refining his repertoire. However, thus far, the results have been less than ideal. In 4 2\/3 innings, he has allowed five runs, walked seven, and hit two batters. This is not really a surprise, as he has always struggled with his command.<\/p>\n
