On the 15-day injured list<\/a> since May 19th, Detroit Tigers starter Reese Olson<\/a> is set to return to the mound on Friday versus the Cleveland Guardians. Olson made three rehab starts for Triple-A Toledo, throwing 10 1\/3 innings and striking out 14 while walking six.<\/p>\n

His first two starts were a bit shaky, but his last rehab start included six strikeouts in six innings, walking one batter and allowing only one hit. That gave the team enough confidence to call him back up to the rotation and have him make his next start at the major league level.<\/p>\n

Reese Olson Returns to the Tigers on Friday<\/h2>\n

Much Needed Depth<\/h3>\n

Olson brings much-needed depth to the best team in the American League. The Tigers have been able to stay afloat atop the league despite the numerous injuries, but fatigue is showing within the bullpen.<\/p>\n

AJ Hinch said Reese Olson’s next start will be in the big leagues, most likely in the Cleveland series. Possibly Friday.<\/p>\n
