STLFC Matchday 26: Saint Louis FC Host Charleston
After another tough result in a draw on the road in Charleston, Saint Louis FC and the Charleston Battery meet again for a Thursday night clash. Saint Louis will be a bit short handed in this match due to a few red cards last game.

LAST TIME OUT: Saint Louis FC and Charleston Battery faced off at MUSC Health Stadium in Charleston, S.C., on Saturday night, with the teams settling for a 1-1 draw. Jamiel Hardware scored his second goal in as many games to give the visitors the lead in the 60th minute, but substitute Heviel Cordoves headed home the equalizer in the final minutes to give Charleston a share of the points. Mike Ambersley had a chance to win the match in stoppage time for STL FC, but Cordoves cleared his shot off the line.
THE OPPONENT: Charleston is 1-2-2 in its last five games and has scored only two goals over that span. The Battery is 3-4-3 on the road thus far, compared to its undefeated 6-0-6 mark at home. Charleston has allowed the second-fewest goals in USL this season, surrendering 20 goals in its 22 league games.
SHORTHANDED SQUAD: Saint Louis FC will have five players unavailable for Thursday’s game due to suspension. Jacob Bushue, Nick Bibbs, Oskar Gasecki, Kingsley Bryce, and Bryan Gaul are all serving suspensions from the USL for disciplinary reasons. Brandon Barklage, Richard Dixon, and Jermie Lynch are also out due to injury.
QUICK TURNAROUND: There won’t have much time for STL FC to recover after Thursday’s match, as the team will immediately travel to Richmond, Va., to play Richmond Kickers on Saturday. It will the be the first of three consecutive road games for Saint Louis, which won’t play another home game until September 12.
