Saint Louis FC Preseason Schedule Announced
The club hopes to head into preseason with 16 players signed, as General Manager Jeremy Alumbaugh stated in an interview with Last World Soccer Club.
After two weeks of training, the team is scheduled to play a friendly against SIU Edwardsville on Saturday, February 28. The match is scheduled for 1 p.m. at Korte Stadium in Edwardsville, IL. The final three preseason friendlies will be against other USL Pro teams.
“We’re looking forward to getting our guys in here for camp and playing some quality opponents in the preseason,” said Head Coach Dale Schilly. “With so many new players, it will be crucial for us to get some good performances under our belt before the season opener against Louisville (on March 28).”
STL FC will play a neutral-site game against Oklahoma City Energy FC on March 5 at 6 p.m. The game will be held at the Betty & Bobby Allison South Stadium on the campus of Missouri State University in Springfield, MO. They will then play a home-and-home series with Tulsa Roughnecks FC, first at the Soccer Park on March 14 at 7:30 p.m., then in Tulsa on March 21 at 7 p.m.
STL FC kicks off their inaugural USL Pro season on March 28 in Louisville before their first ever home opener in April 11 against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds.
