Blackhawks win Stanley Cup as Bruins Collapse Late

The Chicago Blackhawks are the 2013 Stanley Cup Champions, giving the team 2 Cups in the last 4 years.  The Hawks won the cup in 6 games over the Boston Bruins, with a 3-2 victory in Boston tonight.

Late in the third period it seemed that we were headed to game seven.  Milan Lucic scored with 7:49 to play to give the Bruins a 2-1 lead.  However with just 1:16 left, and goalie Corey Crawford pulled from the Blackhawks net, Jonathan Toews set up Bryan Bickell for his 9th playoff goal to tie the game.  Just 17 seconds later Dave Bolland scored on a scrambled play to give the Hawks a 3-2 lead which they would not relenquish.

Chicago Right Wing Patrick Kane won the Conn Smythe Trophy as Playoff MVP.  Kane had 9 goals 10 assists for 19 points in 24 playoff games for the Hawks.

Chicago captain Jonathan Toews passed the Cup to 14 year veteran and trade deadline acquisition Michal Handzus as the first man to lift the Cup.
