Welcome to week number 14 of the 2017 Arena Football League (AFL) season. This week there are two games on tap.

One of them comes from Maryland where the Philadelphia Soul takes on the Baltimore Brigade. With four weeks to go before the postseason, both of these teams have something to prove.

Philadelphia Soul Try To Continue Winning Streak vs. Brigade

Heading into this game, the Philadelphia Soul are entering with a 10-0 record, a playoff spot clinched, and with the top spot in the AFL standings.

As for the expansion team the Baltimore Brigade, even though their record is 3-6, they have been in some close games that could have gone the other way.

The question that is on every fan’s mind is can Baltimore take down the King of the AFL?

The Soul are 5-0 on the road this season and have won in both meetings against the Brigade. The Soul won the first game 61-56 in a nailbiter, but the second time around it wasn’t as close ending in a 69-34 score.

Second-year head coach Omarr Smith of the Baltimore Brigade took the LA Kiss to their first playoff game in 2016.

However, they would lose to the Cleveland Gladiators and would later leave the league. Smith led the Kiss to a 7-9 record.

When the Baltimore Brigade joined the league this year, he joined the Brigade coaching staff.

So far in his coaching career, he has not been able to defeat the Philadelphia Soul.

Currently, he is 0-6 against the team who is trying to win their third straight Arena Bowl.

As for the Philadelphia Soul head coach Client Dolezel he is 2-0 against the Brigade and 4-0 against Smith.

Like in most Arena Football games, expect there to be a lot of points on the board, especially when you are facing a Dolezel coached Philadelphia Soul squad.

Soul quarterback Dan Raudabaugh is playing at an MVP-caliber level and is looking for another championship win under his belt.

On the Baltimore side of the ball, the quarterback Shane Carden has 41 completions 549 yards, 10 touchdowns and three interceptions.

Saturday’s game kicks off at 7:00 p.m. ET.
