The Iowa Barnstormers took down the Spokane Empire 58-28 at Wells Fargo Arena on Friday Night.
The win was the Barnstormers’ 11th in a row and seventh straight at home.
Brady Roland’s trifecta of touchdowns Helps Iowa Barnstormers to 11th Straight Win
Brady Roland was the story of the night, catching four passes and converting three of them to touchdowns.
“Brady is a great player that comes out in big games,” Barnstormers coach Dixie Wooten said. “He made some plays. He had some great catches on the deep ball that we needed. Brady is just one of the guys that makes us who we are.”
Roland now leads the Indoor Football League (IFL) with 21 touchdown receptions on the season.
“It’s exciting to watch him” defensive back Bryce Enyard said. “Just seeing Brady make those big plays, it’s just what we need.”
The Barnstormers will be back in action when they take on the Sioux Falls Storm for the number 1 seed in the playoffs next Saturday.
“I think we’re a whole different team,” Roland said. “That was early in the season, we got some guys that weren’t there, our offense wasn’t clicking, defense cant stop anything. It’s a whole different story now.”
That game kicks off at 7:05 p.m. on Saturday, June 17 at Wells Fargo Arena.
