Last Word SC: The Firing of Jurgen Klinsmann And Bruce Alrighty

From Last Word on Soccer, by Matt Pollard and Joe Hojnacki

(November 22, 2016) – Ding dong, the Witch is dead! Hey fam, this is Last Word SC Radio coming at you with a mid-week pod special. Today, Matt Pollard, Joe Hojnacki, and Dan Sperry break down the firing of Jurgen Klinsmann.

Last Word SC: The Firing of Jurgen Klinsmann And Bruce Alrighty

We talk about what did Klinsmann in and what went into the decision. The guys discuss what this means for Sunil Gulati‘s future and legacy with the U.S. Soccer Federation. We discuss what’s gone wrong for the U.S. Men’s National Team under Klinsmann and what needs to change for the program to progress.

The guys do a Roses and Thorns on the Klinsmann Era. Good news, there is hope for the future, #StanfordMessi and #TenaciousP and all.

The lads then go into the inevitable appointment of Bruce Arena. We discuss what the play for January Camp 2017 will be and what the team might look like for the rest of the Hexagonal. They also break down what Arena will do tactically and how he’ll heal the locker room.

Lastly, the boys talk about what the LA Galaxy should do with Arena leaving (hint: Sigi Schmidt). We also make predictions for leg one of the playoff games. Oh, and Dan totally tolls Matt over what’s happening to the Galaxy.

Share this pod with your American Outlaw buddy to make them feel better. Or with your San Jose Earthquakes Ultra buddy to make them feel better about the Galaxy potentially going down.
