Elliott’s ex-girlfriend filed a report to the Columbus (OH) Police Department on Friday morning. She claimed he abused her while she sat in the drivers seat of her parked car. Not only did Elliott deny he ever hit her, but he also denied he ever lived with her, a statement which she made to the police.

The Dallas Morning News is now reporting that there were two police reports filed in the past week linking Elliott to the case.

The woman posted photos of the marks on Instagram, as well, making this seem more true than not. When officers asked if she wanted medical assistance – they also saw the marks on her – she declined.

Police allegedly witnessed four people, one of which was in the car. All four said they didn’t see any type of abuse. The only physical description of the woman from police is that she was 5’5″ and weighed 120 lbs.

Reports are also saying that Elliott has text messages proving that his ex-girlfriend was trying to set him up. Clarence Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram adds that once Elliott broke it off with her, she said she would ruin him.

Pro Football Talk reported that the NFL will investigate the incident. Sources inside the Cowboys organization don’t believe the accusations are true.

Elliott was drafted by the Cowboys with the fourth overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. With running back Darren McFadden out with an injury, Elliott will look to take the Cowboys’ top running back spot when the Cowboys open training camp on July 28.

Elliott led the Ohio State Buckeyes to a win over the first ever College Football Playoff National Championship in Jan. 2015 over the Oregon Ducks.
