The Baltimore Ravens have re-signed kicker Justin Tucker to a four year, $16.8 million deal. The deal includes $10.8 million in guaranteed money and a $6 million signing bonus.

Baltimore Ravens Re-Sign Kicker Justin Tucker to Four Year, $16.8 Million Deal
The deal is the third-highest deal for a kicker in the NFL (Dallas Cowboys kicker Dan Bailey is under a $22.5 million contract, New England Patriots kicker Stephen Gostkowski is under a $17.5 million contract). The $10.8 million in guaranteed money is the highest among kickers in NFL history. Prior to the deal, the highest guaranteed money for a kicker was Green Bay Packers kicker Mason Crosby, who earned $16.1 million in guaranteed money.
Tucker joined the Ravens as an undrafted free agent in 2012. He has been the second-most accurate kicker in the NFL since then, converting on 130 of 148 regular season kicks. 10 of those kicks have been game-winning field goals.
Tucker will earn $4.2 million per year, which is second to Gostkowski’s $4.3 million per year. In 2015, he had his worst season, making only 82.5 percent of his kicks. That was good enough for 21st in the NFL.
His best performance of the 2015 season came when he went a perfect 5-5 on field goals, including the game-winning kick as time expired, against the San Diego Chargers. He also kicked a game-winning kick last season against the then St. Louis Rams.
24 hours ago, Tucker was becoming frustrated that the two teams could not come to an agreement on a new deal. Tucker’s agent, Rob Roche, said that if the team had not reached a deal by 4 p.m. Friday, Tucker would be leaving Baltimore.
The Ravens announced that they had signed Tucker at 3:50 p.m., just 10 minutes before the deadline in which franchise tagged players were allowed to sign new deals.
