NFL Week 10 Recap, Week 11 QB changes, and what is a catch?

Sean, Gary, and Randy go game by game with a NFL Week 10 Recap, but also discuss the QB changes coming in Week 11 and wonder what is a NFL catch exactly?

We apologize for coming out a day later than usual; Sean had another internet outage on Monday that wasn’t fixed until Tuesday morning. At least we have a podcast for you, though.

We start things  off with our NFL Week 10 Recap (4:35-1:21:45) looking at all the games, probably running through them a lot faster than usual, but still answering questions about each team and giving you the ins and outs of what happened in Week 10. However, before we finish with that, we’ll do a preview for the Thursday Night Football game (1:21:45-1:25:25) between the Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars Which one of these young quarterbacks will lead their team to an important AFC South divisional win? Find out who we choose right here.

After that, we discuss the one-year suspension of Aldon Smith and also take a look at all of the quarterback changes (1:25:25-1:55:45) made this week. Which one will yield the most positive results? Could we see one of these guys become a permanent starter? How long should the Denver Broncos sit Peyton Manning? From Case Keenum to Brock Osweiler, we discuss all of those players and more.

Randy takes us through the third College Football Playoff Rankings (1:55:45-2:00:55) and reflects on another crazy week on the University Gridiron.

We move along to Gary’s Fantasy Football pickups, the Top 5 Power Rankings and the Player of the Week (2:00:55-2:11:00)

We conclude with a discussion on “what exactly is a NFL catch” and examine some controversial plays and if they were actually a “catch” or not (2:11:00-End).

Sean Garmer: is a mix of Arkansas, Venezuela, and Texas all rolled into one. He studied Journalism at the University of North Texas and hopes to one day be able to return to finish his degree. Born in Arkansas, his favorite college team is the Arkansas Razorbacks, but all of his professional loves come from the Dallas-Fort Worth area, where he spent 20 years of his life. Sean’s first love is soccer, which began from having an entire latino side of the family that watched the sport. It then grew into him playing soccer all the way into high school and college. He was also able to do color commentary for the University of North Texas Women’s soccer team as well. He then transitioned that into several writing gigs on various websites, including being paid to cover every game in several World Cups. Sean is an avid FC Dallas supporter and has grown to love MLS above all other soccer leagues. His second sport is a tie between American Football and Basketball. Although Sean is a diehard Cowboys and Mavericks fan, respectively, he also tries to keep up with other sports as much as he can.

Gary Vaughan: is a native of North Texas. He is also a graduate of the University of North Texas with aspirations of a higher level of education. Like a majority of Texans, football is his sports passion. Ironically, his passion for the game sparked from his love of Madden 98. From that point on, he has poured hours into studying NFL history and game film. Gary is a student of the game and is a die hard Dallas Cowboys fan. His second sport is hockey, followed up by the rest of the American sports scene.

Randy Isbelle: is a New York American sports fan stuck in the Pacific Northwest. Randy is a former writer for a few sports websites, and he was also a co-founder of the Coast 2 Coast Sports Report podcast. He now splits his time between watching sports, playing video games and being a father.
