This Just In: Clint Bowyer to HScott Motorsports in 2016

With the NASCAR silly season news changing by the minute, latest reports confirm that current Michael Waltrip Racing driver Clint Bowyer will move to HScott Motorsports next season, before taking over the famous #14 Chevy for Tony Stewart, who will retire at the end of 2016.

Bowyer, whose Michael Waltrip Racing team is shutting down at season’s end, brings to Harry Scott’s team sponsorship from 5-Hour Energy, who will follow him from the #15 Toyota. Bowyer and Scott have had a very close relationship off the track, and will bring experience to the two-and-a-half year old organization that young drivers Michael Annett and Justin Allgaier can use to improve their skills.

What remains to be seen is whether or not Justin Allgaier will return to the team. Reports have Bowyer entering into the #51 Chevy for 2016, which is currently piloted by Allgaier. He also brings sponsorship to the team from Brandt Agriculture, but it remains to be seen whether or not the sponsor will re-sign. Team owner Harry Scott has held firm in public to his comments of staying at two cars in 2016, but could that change now with Bowyer in the fold?

Be sure to stay tuned for all the latest revelations in the epic saga that is the NASCAR silly season, including more on Clint Bowyer to HScott Motorsports.
