2015 Hungarian Grand Prix Red Bull Review

After touching and very emotional scenes before the start of the race, it was clear go see that this was going to be a tough day for all involved. But despite all of this, we were treated to a phenomenal race that Jules Bianchi would have been proud of.

Hungarian Grand Prix Red Bull Review

Both Red Bulls got very tardy starts but despite this, both cars ran well through the race with Daniel Ricciardo fourth and Daniil Kyvat in fifth.

It looked as the race panned out a good haul of points was on offer, but as Nico Hulkenberg’s front wing failure and subsequent crash brought the race alive with the virtual safety car but due to the huge amount of debris on track, the real safety car had to be brought out and through this both Ricciardo and Kyvat got their lucky breaks.

At the restart Ricciardo made his move on Lewis Hamilton but got hit as Lewis understeered into him and caused some bodywork damage on the sidepod. With Lewis suffering wing damage he pitted for a new front wing and option tyres. This left both Red Bulls to chase after Nico Rosberg and the leading Sebastian Vettel.

Lap after lap Ricciardo chased down Nico Rosberg and eventually making his move down the inside into turn one, but he outbraked himself and ran wide, on the exit the two collided causing Nico a puncture.

Danil Kyvat suffered the wrath of the stewards for overtaking off the circuit and received a penalty for his troubles, but once it all panned out the final result was a double podium for Red Bull and with Danil Kyvat scoring second place he secures the best result for a Russian in Formula One.

The team will be very happy with result of course and so they should be. Unfortunately with Spa and Monza coming up next the circuits will certainly not favour the RB11’s characteristics. The team will no doubt be looking to secure the best points possible.
