TBD (Suggestions welcome!)

This week’s matchup is Orlando City FC vs. New York City FC. Both teams are making their respective debuts in MLS. OCSC will be playing in front of a sold-out crowd of more than 60,000 fans led by star play maker Kaka. NYCFC comes in with plenty of star power as well with David Villa leading the front line with Jason Kreis pulling the strings. Will these two expansion teams deliver the goods, or will we see a tentative draw as we did in the preseason clash between these MLS newcomers? Only time will tell. Here’s what the experts have to say.

Expert Pick Comments
Joseph Goldstein Analyst / @LastWord_JG OCSC BadgeOCSC (2-1) Home opener + packed house + Kaka = 3 points.
Eric Walcott Staff Writer / @ericwalcott OCSC BadgeOCSC (3-2) Both teams invested heavily in attack and want to make a bang. Expect fireworks, maybe a red card.
Alec Rivera Department Head / @LWOSAlec OCSC BadgeOCSC (3-2) Kaka vs. Villa nearly ends in stalemate before home crowd lifts the Lions 3-2.
Jeff Krause Editor / @DFBJeff NYCFC badgeNYCFC (2-1) Big away crowd won’t deter David Villa, and Jason Kreis loves big games. Kaka needs more behind him than a SKC transplant who’s red-card happy.
Russ McKenzie Department Head / @Russ_McKenzie OCSC BadgeOCSC (2-0) The force is strong with Kaka, and the NYCFC back 4 is questionable.
John Richan Staff Writer / @John_Richan OCSC BadgeOCSC (2-1) NYCFC will finish higher in the standings come October; However adrenaline and home crowd push OCSC to victory in week 1.
Michael Norton Editor / @MichaelNorton95 OCSC BadgeOCSC (3-1) Neither backline will be perfect in their first outing. But surely the soccer gods will
look nicely on Orlando for the good they’ve done. Expect Kaka to get at least one for the home team.
Ned Joyce Contributor / @nedjoyce Tie (1-1) Lot of Nerves, still a little rusty, teams come out too tentatively
