League Two Review: 3rd March 2015

11 games took place on Tuesday night in League Two and Shrewsbury took full advantage of Burton Albion not playing by regaining top spot. The playoffs are becoming to look tight for points after tonight, and we once again have a shift in the drop zone with clubs picking up vital points. Here is your League Two Review.

Salop took the lead after just 11 minutes, before Josh Windass levelled from the spot just before the break to make it two goals in three games for the Stanley man. Stanley couldn’t hold on as Grant scored his second three minutes before the end, condemning Stanley to their second successive defeat, following four games unbeaten. Shrewsbury move top on goal difference above Burton, as they look to achieve promotion back to League One.

In the second half, Gareth Ainsworth brought on Matt McClure, who was sent off less than two minutes later after he appeared to hit Adam Dugdale with both players challenging for a header. Tranmere slip to 22nd, level on points with one of the sides in the drop, whilst Wycombe stay 3rd, but now five points clear of the play-off places.
