Athleticism: B-

Has an outstanding size-speed ratio and has well above average athletic ability considering his prodigious size. Is capable of taking the top off of a defense with his impressive straight line speed. Chews up yardage and is difficult to catch up to once he gets going. Possesses outstanding leaping ability and hang time. Is a long strider and doesn’t have good change of direction ability.

Catching: A

Superb vertical and body length to make plays on jump balls and overthrows. Able to high-point the football in jump ball battles. Is a nightmare to defend in the end zone. Fights through contact and makes contested catches. Possesses very strong hands and impressive ball skills. Is frequently covered and is still capable of coming away with the completion. Competitive and fights for the contested football. Can have trouble adjusting to footballs thrown behind him. Has some trouble with focus on short throws.

Routes: C+

Has long arms and a strong frame to fend off the jam and get into his routes. Chews up cushion and can put defensive backs in a hole quickly. Requires double coverage to completely cover him, especially deep. Can be slow to come out of his stance. Majority of his routes are deep or vertical routes and spends most of his time playing along the sideline. Rarely crosses the middle of the field. Rounds off breaking routes and doesn’t create much separation out of his cuts.

After Catch: C+

A powerful runner after the catch and possesses good contact strength. Can be straight-linish after the catch and doesn’t have much wiggle in his hips or great vision to pick up blocks and find holes. Only had one impressive run in film viewed.

Blocking: C

Gets into position as a blocker and is not a loafer. Length and natural strength are an asset in this department, and is able to seal defenders from the ballcarrier. Does not sustain particularly well and could stand to ratchet up his effort and intensity level to finish blocks.

Red Flags: Major Character Concerns, Experience

Bottom Line: Were Dorial Green-Beckham evaluated based on measurable alone, he would more than likely be a top five talent. However, the former Missouri Tigers commit and player comes with a lot off-field baggage, including several run-ins with the law, which got him dismissed from Missouri and prevented him from playing for Oklahoma this past year. If he can return to his 2013 form after being forced to take a season off of live football, he has a chance to become a strong starter in the NFL if he commits himself. However, Green-Beckham has a strong bust factor and will most likely be limited to vertical pass offenses based on his skill set.

Comparison: Jonathan Baldwin

Grade: 9.0 (1st Round)
