A pair of recent Saint Louis FC signings, Bryan Gaul and Marl Pais, will join their MLS affiliate the Chicago Fire for the 2015 preseason.

Recently formed USL Pro team Saint Louis FC will begin their inaugural season in 2015. The club has already made several signings as General Manager Jeremy Alumbaugh continues to build the roster. Earlier this month, Saint Louis FC announced an affiliation with MLS side Chicago Fire.

This past week, it was announced that two recent signings, Bryan Gaul and Mark Pais, will join the Chicago Fire in their 2015 Preseason Training Camp prior to Saint Louis FC beginning their preseason.

Gaul (defender, 25, 6′ 5”) is originally from Napervill, IL, a suburb of Chicago. He was drafted 19th overall by the LA Galaxy in the 2012 MLS Supplemental Draft. Gaul spent two seasons with LA, making 14 appearances and did have loan stints with both Fort Lauderdale and Carolina.

Pais (goalkeeper, 22, 6′ 4”) is a college product out of Tusla University, starting all 21 games this year. He recorded eight clean sheets and was the Golden Hurricane Defensive Player of the Year. The St. Louis, MO native started college at Saint Louis University, starting 15 games. He went undrafted in the MLS SuperDraft and was thus a free agent prior to signing with Saint Louis FC.

“This is a great way for Bryan and Mark to kick off the 2015 season,” Alumbaugh said. “Getting the opportunity to train with the Fire will allow both players to come into our camp sharp and ready for the challenges of the upcoming USL PRO season.” He and Head Coach Dale Schilly will attend the camp.

Chicago Fire Training Schedule:

Monday, Jan. 26 – 10:30 a.m. CT
Tuesday, Jan. 27 – 10:30 a.m. CT
Wednesday, Jan. 28 – 11 a.m. CT
Thursday, Jan. 29 – 10:30 a.m. CT
Friday, Jan. 30 – 11 a.m. CT
Saturday, Jan. 31 – 9:30 a.m. CT
