Fantasy Profile: Carlos Ruiz, C, Philadelphia Phillies

FANTASY PROFILE: CARLOS RUIZ, C, PHILADELPHIA PHILLIES

LWOS Ranking 22, Captains Value -$2.81

It is highly unlikely that  Carlos Ruiz will even come close to repeating the .325 AVG he had in 2012 but at the same time, he’s unlikely to sabotage owners in this area and may even throw in a few stolen bases. While his batting average should be decent (he’s only hit below .250 once in his career), there is not much to reasonably expect beyond that. With the exception of 2012, he has not managed reach double digits in Home Runs. Also, a consistent source of playing time is a long shot as he’s never had more than 472 plate appearances in a season.
