Fabber's Believe it or Not: Fantasy Week 6

Fabber’s Believe It or Not, Hang on or Part ways, Fantasy Week 6!
There comes a time in all relationships where you will hit a crossroad. This is where you have to decide to hang on tight or let go. I have had to do this many times in my life. I had my lucky pillow as a kid but I am pretty sure my mom saved that. I have had to separate from my favorite shorts (they got a bit too short), Honey Buns, a couple cars, some houses, my high school jersey (became a belly button shirt), and even some friends.

It is never easy to move on, sometimes it’s downright tough. It can be emotionally and physically draining. Trust me I have been through it all.

It is also that way in fantasy football. Sometimes we think it’s a sign of weakness if we trade away a player we took. We think it shows we were wrong about them or the way we built our team. I hear every week someone tell me how they want to see how far the team they drafted takes them. The fantasy player who is less stubborn will make it the farthest with what they have.

They will sell when players still have value or even more value than they should have due to recent performance. Do not hang on too long and let a player bring down your whole team hoping they will turn it around.

So to fantasy owners out there everywhere, do not be afraid to sell. Trade some big names if they aren’t big points because points win games not names. Do not hang on to something or someone bringing you down because at the end you have no one to blame but yourself.

Now let’s get to some fantasy players we believe in for week 6 and some we do not. This doesn’t mean to play these guys over studs, always play your studs. This is not a play this guy over this guy piece, if you have questions about that you can direct them to me or the fantasy department of LWOS (the greatest fantasy department EVER). But before we can move forward I have to close the chapter on week 5. So here is how we did.

Now on to week 6, like always good luck and get that W.

Believes
QBs
Eli Manning NYG, 22 Points: This offense is starting to really come together. Mix that in with getting people healthy at the right time and this team is ready to put up points. Oh and they are going against Philly, who normally makes opposing quarterbacks look like Montana in his prime.

Blake Bortles JAC, 21 Points: Tennessee’s defense doesn’t scare me. Jags’ running game is horrible. He might throw two interceptions but he will throw three touchdowns in the same game. This could just be another performance to show us he is the future and the now.

Joe Flacco BAL, 20 Points: A great matchup makes me feel a little more comfortable putting this guy on a believe list for the first time. Steve Smith Sr. comes back with a vengeance and they take care of the ball.

RBs
Shane Vereen NE, 14 Points: I have faith that the Patriots will stay with a double tight end set. If they do that it will open up the run game, which will also open up the pass and screen game. That is where Vereen will make patient Fantasy owners happy.

Lamar Miller MIA, 14 Points: I know he will not see as many carries but his recent body of work shows us he doesn’t need bulk to produce. Miami will have to keep Aaron Rodgers off the field; Miller is just the guy to do that. More backs at the table but Lamar Miller is still eating.

Andre Williams NYG, 12 Points: How many times has a player gone from FA to must start? Well here is one. He has a great matchup, great running offensive line, and the potential to have a great game. Close to a cant miss as I would say.

WRs
Victor Cruz NYG, 15 Points: Sure after last week I am a little nervous about this play but come on. This team loves to pass and Quick had a monster game against Philly. Why not? This could be one of those games you wish you started him, so do it.

Keenan Allen SD, 13 Points: This will be the week he gets sick of hearing all the negative and break out. Everything is coming together for it to be a strong showing and I believe (hence why he is in the Believe section).

Golden Tate DET, 12 Points: So Megatron is most likely out and even if he plays he is more like Skelator right now (yes I am proud of both those references). This will be Tate’s week to show off, but after it owners should sell and fast.

TEs
Delanie Walker TEN, 13 Points: Great matchup and an easy outlet to beat the blitz. One of the surprises this year will continue to surprise another week.

Dwayne Allen IND, 11 Points: He might not get many targets but he scores touchdowns. Colts have too many weapons to cover and he is the odd man out (in a good way). He could do 50 yards and a TD easy.

DEF
Colts 14 Points: They will force Houston to pass and at that point we all know the game is over. This should be a good one for a defense that is surprisingly doing just fine.

Ravens 12 Points: The matchup is just part of the reason I love this team. They will get to the QB and force mistakes. They are coming back from a tough loss as well to add more fuel to the engine.

Kickers
Josh Brown NYG, 12 Points

Cody Parker PHI, 11 Points

Nots

QBs
Tony Romo DAL, 17 Points: This is the week we see old Tony minus the touchdowns.

Ryan Tannehill MIA, 16 Points: They will dedicate the offense to the run and short pass game. This is not a good combo for a fantasy quarterback.

RBs
Doug Martin TB, 8 Points: He might not make us as nervous as he did at the beginning of the year but less carries and a good defense will limit him.

Zac Stacy STL, 7 Points: He will not be at 100% and will probably be playing from behind. This will take carries and opportunities away from a guy who needs them all.

WRs
Andre Johnson HOU, 8 points: He is no longer the number one on this team and he really shouldn’t be a WR3 on fantasy teams. Hope for one good game and then sell fast.

Terrance Williams DAL, 7 Points: He supposedly broke out last week, so I guess this week we will call it the break in. He might know what jail is like with how bad he will be on lockdown after this game.

TEs
Jordan Cameron CLE, 7 Points: I actually want to know why you still have this guy in your line-up. Take him out now; it’s not last year people.

Jared Cook STL, 6 Points: Who ever said a little fight between boys will bring them closer? Well that is not the case with Davis and Cook. These guys are not together right now and until they are you cannot afford to play him.

DEF
Bears 8 Points

Cowboys 7 Points

Kickers
Dan Bailey DAL, 7 Points.

Sebastian Janikowski OAK, 4 Points.
