The Business of Hockey in Canada

We’d like to thank Christyne Kavanagh and her team for all the work they have put in.  Its great to look at the history and health of the game as we prepare for another exciting hockey season.  What we can see is that the Business of Hockey in Canada has never been better. No wonder there are rumors of four new NHL expansion teams (with two in Canada) by 2017, and the asking price for a team in Toronto eclipsing $1.2 billion.

Now if only the Canadian teams on the ice can start producing better results, as only one of the seven Canadian NHL teams made the playoffs this past season, and they have not won a Stanley Cup since 1993.
