Five potential opponents for the conqueror of the streak

When Brock Lesnar makes his triumphant return to the WWE in the next few weeks it will have to be to face an opponent of some calibre.

The conqueror of Undertakers 23 year undefeated streak cannot walk back into just any feud and needs to be put back over with the audience as the beast he is in order to preserve Undertakers immortal status.

Whilst Undertaker is still set to retire and no one truly knows what is going to happen with him and Sting, here are a list of potential opponents the former UFC superstar could face at Summerslam.

DANIEL BRYAN

The WWE World Heavyweight Champion may not be holing his title after this weekend and so could be in for the fight of his life if he draws the short straw against this beast later in the year.

Whilst Daniel has had a memorable last month, it would be hard for WWE to book the two against each other, both are on a significant roll of sorts and whilst a showdown between them would showcase how good they both really are in the ring how could one beat the other clean?

If Daniel beats Brock it will then wipe out Brock’s historical moment at Wrestlemania and if Brock beats Daniel it could see the start of another Yes Movement over the Beast and I think we have all had quite enough of rising against the machine.

If we think of this as just a clash rather than a story it would be memorable and a worthy main event for the biggest party of the summer.

BATISTA

Now we are all aware that Batista needs to take some time out to promote his new movie after Extreme Rules, but he could be back in time for Summerslam and he could be back to take on an animal of another kind.

Batista came back to be the best, and to be the best you have to beat the best. A match between these two would be one to look out for and could see Batista tied up and out of the title picture for a while longer whilst Randy Orton or someone else has their shot against Daniel Bryan.

Not only that, Batista is hated by the WWE Universe right now and I feel Brock is the only one that the universe hate more, he could be the only one to turn Batista back into a face.

KANE

After doing the unthinkable and ending his brothers streak, a streak that Kane himself couldn’t end, fans all thought Kane would have something to say about it but he was busy being corporate Kane, he didn’t really care than much about anything outside of the Authority.

But now thanks to Daniel Bryan and Stephanie, the old Kane has returned and the monster has been unleashed. Whether he captures the WWE World heavyweight title on Sunday and then puts it on the line against Brock still remains to be seen but a face of between two of the biggest beasts in WWE history has to be on the cards in the near future.

CESARO

Paul Heyman guy vs. Paul Heyman guy, the past vs. the future, that seems to be an on-going thing within WWE right now and I think a showdown between these two would be a legendary bout.

We are all fully aware of Cesaro’s strength but he is still yet to do anything to put him fully on the WWE map, defeating the conqueror of the streak at his own game could be that moment.

Cesaro could also be the one to put Brock out for a while, he is a part-time superstar when all is said and done and who better to take his place full time than someone under the watchful eye of Paul Heyman and someone who has the potential he had back in the day?

UNDERTAKER

Take two? I have seen a lot of people asking for this to happen and whilst I really don’t think Undertaker would be up for this until Mania 31, I still think this would be a great clash for Undertaker to win in order to claim Brock’s win last month was a fluke.

Honestly I wouldn’t want to sit through another match like Wrestlemania unless Undertaker is 100% fit and Brock and him balance the match out more than they did back at the show piece but I still feel like Undertaker needs to come back and whether he faces Sting or Brock in his final match, it will be one worth remembering.
