Tottenham look to Keep European hopes alive at West Brom

Tottenham Hotspur travel to The Hawthorns on Saturday for a huge game for Tim Sherwood’s men to reach Europa League qualification this season. Tottenham travel with high hopes after slamming Sunderland’s hopes of staying in the Premier League with a 5-1 win at White Hart Lane on Monday night.

West Brom welcome Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday not in the greatest of forms. West Brom only winning two of their last five games. The reverse fixture saw a draw with a cracking free-kick for the young Danish player Christian Eriksen. Tim Sherwood’s men are confident on this fixture and set to bring 3 points back to White Hart Lane, with Eriksen, Emmanuel Adebayor and Harry Kane showing a brilliant performance on their Monday night fixture against Sunderland. Harry Kane scored his first Premier League goal in the match.

“It’s the best feeling in my career so far,” said the young striker.

“I was buzzing to get my first start in the Premier League for Spurs and to then get my first Premier League goal at White Hart Lane in a 5-1 win made it a brilliant night, I’ve waited patiently and to get that goal is a very proud moment.”

West Brom’s last game saw them defeat Norwich with a 0-1 win away from home. Morgan Amalfitano’s fine first-half strike earned West Brom just their third Premier League away win of the season and put the Baggies level on points with fellow struggler’s Norwich.

“A team that has displayed discipline on the pitch and has played as they did today – well and together – demonstrates that there is a good spirit in the camp and that we are a family.” said Pepe Mel.

“I think the players have shown today exactly what they want and how to go about achieving it. Both Saido and James, plus all the players, have just shown how important they are for us.Important win for West Brom”

“These three points really move us closer to the end and make our route a lot easier. I think the Tottenham game next week is really important. If we are able to win against Tottenham the future for us will be a very happy one.”

The Premier League clash is a huge game for both teams with West Brom avoiding relegation and Tottenham Hotspur trying to seal their spot in Europe this year and slowly slipping away from Champions League qualification.

My personal prediction for this game is a 0-3 away win for Tottenham Hotspur. I believe Tottenham will show great determination and come out on top with players in great form.

Emmanuel Adebayor scoring two and Christian Eriksen with one.
