OHL's Saginaw Spirit Forward Terry Trafford Is Missing

With files from Mitchell Tierney.

Online reports today indicate that Saginaw Spirit centre Terry Trafford is missing and has not been seen for several days. As of this writing, no information has been released by the team or the league, but Trafford has not played a game for the Spirit since Feb. 17 against the Sarnia Sting. Per Jim Parker of the Windsor Star, Trafford was listed as a healthy scratch as recently as two days ago against the Windsor Spitfires.

I have personally talked to three sources who know Trafford well, but wish to remain anonymous.  All three have confirmed that the last time they saw Terry Trafford was on Monday, and that family and friends have not heard from him in six days.  A missing persons report has been filed with Saginaw Police.

My sources all indicate he was last seen at an event at Saginaw Dow Centre rink on March 3rd, 2014.

Trafford was apparently upset after leaving the rink and said he needed some time to himself. However, after not being seen for this long, family and friends have now become extremely concerned.

Terry Trafford is 20-years old. He is listed at 5’11 and 190 lbs on the Spirit Website.

Terry Trafford was last seen driving a 1995 Green GMC Sierra Pickup Truck, License Plate CJA 2235.

If you have seen Terry, or know anything please contact Saginaw Michigan police at

989.759.1229 or 989.759.1255

Update:  The team released a short statement that Trafford is missing.  Toronto Police have also begun the search for Trafford.  Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 416−808−1200, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416−222−TIPS (8477).
We here at LWOS want nothing more than to find news that Trafford is home safe and sound. We put out our prayers and thoughts to his family, friends, teammates, coaches, fans, and all who know him.
