Three Reasons why Stephen El Shaawary SHOULD NOT be Sold

Editor’s Note: LWOS is always looking for enthusiastic sports fans to add to our roster of writers.  We are pleased to have Luca LaPorta join our team, as he will be covering AC Milan.

Stephen El Shaawary is a  great young player with amazing potential who can really help Milan for the long term.  He was a big part of AC Milan this year before Mario Balotelli arrived in January.  Having scoring options is a must with AC trying to take on the Old Lady in pursuit of the Scudetto, as well as what they hope will be a great run in Champions League, and even trying to win.

El Shaawary had a grand total of 19 goals this season in 46 appearances, which is not bad for a youngster. There is nothing but positive things to come from El Shaawary in the future because players like him always seem to get better with experience. He can continue to be a great player for Milan if they do decide to keep him in the club.

Another reason why he should not be sold is because of his chemistry with Mario Balotelli. Stephen and Mario are great friends on and off the pitch and you can see it on twitter and in pictures/video from practice and training sessions. They have great chemistry on the Italian National Team and that chemistry can also be used in Milan – it’s just what the team needs. Those two players could make each other better on the pitch by using communication in some ways that most players can’t with one another. El Shaawary is a really special player and if you watch him play you can see that he has great talent who is only going to get better.

El Shaawary is irreplaceable for Milan. If they were to sell El Shaawary, chances of them getting a top class left Mid/Wing is  very unlikely. Many of the best Left Forwards play for teams that they would not want to leave to go to the Serie A, such as Ronaldo, Bale, Hazard, Neymar. Milan has a history of selling special players like Thiago Silva and Ibrahimovic, but this situation is much different from that, because El Shaawary makes less than a million euros, compared to Silva and Ibrahimovic who were making millions. El Shaawary has made it clear to Milan owners that he wants to stay as a Red and Black and he does not want to leave. He obviously believes that he can be a key factor in this team winning.

El Shaawary should remain a Milan player for the next couple of years; it would be better for him, AC Milan, Italian National Team, and even players playing around him.
